Zeenat Nabi, PhD

Dr. Zeenat Nabi is a renowned scientist and a dedicated community leader.

She obtained BS in Biochemistry and MS in Microbiology from Dhaka University, Bangladesh, PhD in Immunology from Kyushu University, Japan and did her Postdoctoral Research in Cell Biology from New York University, NY

Dr. Nabi worked as a Research Assistant Professor at Princeton University and Rutgers University, NJ. Then she joined Colgate in 1990 as a research scientist in the Advanced Technology Personal Care and has had a distinguished career advancing through positions in Early Research Personal Care Global Technology. After 27 years of dedicated service to Colgate, she has decided to retire, effective January 1, 2018.

Dr. Nabi has made outstanding contributions to the personal care business during her career at Colgate. She has been a pioneer in bringing state of the art technology in the skin care research at Colgate. She has established cell culture and tissue culture lab at Colgate to identify and evaluate new active ingredients to develop new products as well as evaluate the efficacy of the new products to develop new efficacy claims.

Dr. Nabi has received several recognition awards for her outstanding contributions to Colgate. They are, two annual and two quarterly Chairman’s You Can Make A Difference awards and two Global Technology Excellence Awards for developing state of the art technology in skin care research. She has several patents to her credit.

Dr. Nabi is a dedicated community leader. She served three terms as the President of Bangladesh Association of New Jersey and many years as a board member. She also served as an Election Commissioner of Federation of Bangladeshi Associations in North America (FOBANA). She is also active in mainstream politics and currently a member of Plainsboro Township Democratic Club.

Dr. Nabi is associated with Muktadhara New York Boimela since it’s inception and currently serving as a member of the executive committee of Muktadhara Foundation.
