Dilara Hashem

Dilara Hashem was born on August 25, 1936. A famous Bangladeshi writer and novelist. She graduated in English from Dhaka University in 1956. He has been working in the Bangla section of Voice of America since 1986. His first novel Ghar Mann Janala was published in 1975. Which is highly esteemed by readers and critics alike. The book was later translated into Russian and Chinese, and a film based on the novel was released in 1983. Her feminist novel Amalki’s Mau was also published in 1986. Also novels are Ekda aur Ananta (1975), Stabdhatar Kane Kane (198), Amalkir Mau (198), Badami Bikeler Galpa (1983), Kaktaliya (1985), Mural (198), Shankha Karat (1995), Anukta Padabali (1998). , Sadar Andar (1998) Setu (2000), Novels of Liberation War (2011). The story book Halde Pakhir Kanna (1970), Sindhu Parer Upakhyan (198), Nayak (1989) and the book of poetry Ferrari (198) were published.

She won the Bangla Academy Award in 1986, the Northern Chicago Cultural and Literary Inc. Literary Award in 1997, the Alakta Award in 2004 and the Muktadhara GFB Literary Award in 2019. In 1999, she inaugurated the New York Bangla Book Fair. She has been involved since the beginning of the New York Bangla Book Fair. She is currently an advisor to the executive committee of the Muktadhara Foundation.
